New Catch and Release Regulations for two New Jersey Rivers

ALERT: The new regulations proposed by NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife and endorsed by the NJ State Council of Trout Unlimited have been voted on and approved by the F&G Council.

These new regulations will adopt “CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY, ARTIFICIAL LURES AND FLIES ONLY” on a 4.2 mile section of the Big Flat Brook River as well as continue trout protection within the Ken Lockwood Gorge Trout Conservation Area section of the South Branch of the Raritan River by making this “CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY” and will look to re-establish / sustain wild & native brook trout populations.
